The mother of a 17-year-old boy who was stabbed to death has paid tribute to her 'lovely' son but does not understand how he ended up 50 miles away from his home.
Camran Green was rushed to hospital in a critical condition after he was knifed in the stomach on Sunday night in Cheltenham, Gloucestershire.
He was pronounced dead yesterday morning at Gloucestershire Royal Hospital, prompting detectives to launch a murder investigation.
His mother, Emma Green, 35, https://borderhaunt.com/ last night paid tribute to her son, who would 'do anything for anybody.'
She has also shared a photo online of her saying a last goodbye to her son as he lay dying in a hospital bed.
Ms Green, of Tamworth, Staffordshire, said she was sharing the image to raise awareness of the horrific consequences of knife crime.
She said: 'People need to understand what a knife does to you - not just the person who's stabbed but the people around them.
'Using a knife doesn't resolve anything, it just means you'll get caught and go to prison.
'For the family of the victim it's just the most horrible, terrible thing.
'And as a mother it's the worst thing possible to be told your son's been killed by a knife.'
She added: 'I want to share this photo because I want people to see the consequences of what knife crime can do.
'It will show that it could happen to their son."

Police are hunting for a male suspect following the attack, which happened at 8.20pm on Sunday.
Ms Green said she has no idea why her son was in Cheltenham, Gloucestershire, 50 miles from his home in Wendesbury in the West Midlands.
She said: 'Everybody loved him. He could get along with everybody and he had lots of friends.
'Camran was a lovely guy. He got along with anybody and was loved by loads.
'He would do anything for anybody so for something like this to happen.
'I don't understand why people have to use weapons when they know full well what consequences it has.
She told how she gripped his hand as he slipped away, posting a photo of the agonising moment she said her final goodbye to her boy, with the caption: 'With love only for you.'
She said: 'I wanted to keep the memory of me holding him. It means everything to me.

'I was with him the whole time. I got there at about 5am - the police picked me up and took me there.
'I sat with him until he passed away at around 9.08am. I asked him, 'Why are you here? Why did this have to happen?''
And she called for her son's attacker - who remains on the run after the killing on Sunday night - to be brought to justice.
'He has got three brothers and two sisters and it is all mixed emotions at the moment.
'My four-year-old doesn't know, my six-year-old is trying to get his head around it.
'We are all just in shock. I just don't know what I'm feeling.
'I'm feeling angry, upset and confused. I don't know what to think at the moment.
'I want him to be remembered as a loving, caring, generous guy who would do anything for anyone.
'Whoever did it will have to be caught and justice to be served.'
She added: 'To be honest, I don't even know why he was in Gloucestershire.'

An abandoned getaway has been found car close to the scene of the stabbing.
Gloucestershire police said today they know the identity of the man believed to have killed Camran but have not yet located him.
A police spokesman said: 'The suspect is believed to have left the scene of the murder on a bike and travelled to Buckingham Avenue and Clevedon Square.
'He may have been on foot for part of the journey before getting into a silver Vauxhall Astra (registration number W488 XOB) in Clevedon Square and driving at speed through Cheltenham.
'The car was later found abandoned in St Luke's Place.
'Local PCs and PCSOs are patrolling the area to reassure residents in the community while officers investigating the death are continuing to search key locations in the area, carry out forensic inquiries and follow up numerous active inquiries to trace the offender.'
Police say they have been given the name of the suspect and it has been circulated to all forces 'to ensure he is stopped and arrested as soon as possible.'

The lead detective in charge of the investigation says that for operational reasons the name of the suspect is not being released publicly at this time although an appeal is being made directly to anyone who is protecting him.
Detective Inspector Ruth Mather said: 'We know that this person's name is out there on the streets. I am convinced someone knows where he is and who is protecting him.
'Please do the right thing and call us. If you don't want to speak to us you can call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 and stay anonymous.
'To the wider public I would ask anyone who was in the area at the time of the murder and remembers seeing either a man riding a bike nearby or this silver Astra being driven around to call us straight away.
'You could have a vital clue for us and we need to hear from you.'

Kevin Devaney, the Operational and Development Manager of Hesters Way Neighbourhood project, said it happened just across the road from the centre.
